HB 813 - Provides Relative to Prescribing, Administering, and Dispensing of Drugs for Off-label Use

This legislation prohibits any administrative board or commission from restricting a physician’s freedom to prescribe any FDA approved medication for off-label use. Doctors, not boards and commissions, are in the best position to know what medications to prescribe to their patients, and in what combination. Additionally, regulatory boards and commissions are notoriously corrupt, and often do not make recommendations in the best interest of public health. LACAG testified in support of this bill.
